Destana Herring is a Principal at Regeneration.VC, having joined as a founding team member in 2020. In this role, he led analysis and underwriting for all Fund 1 investments and the first Fund 2 investment. Destana represents the firm as a Board Director for both Meridia, an AgTech data science company for smallholder supply chains, and Hullbot, an autonomous marine robotics platform.
Destana manages Regeneration's comprehensive deal flow and due diligence processes, while also overseeing a competitive semi-annual fellowship program with Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. As an Earthshot Prize Nominator, he helps identify breakthrough environmental solutions worthy of global recognition. His perspectives on climate innovation and investment have been featured on stage at GreenBiz Circularity conference, VivaTech, Nordic Circular Summit, Mashup Malmö, and TechBBQ, and Grist’s environmental publication.
Destana graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor's degree in Economics, complemented by coursework in sustainability science and psychology. He served on the Board of the student impact investing group, where he co-developed the inaugural strategy for a student-managed impact fund, conducted research on private capital DEI trends, and landscaped nonprofit venture fund models.
Based in Copenhagen, Destana leads Regeneration's Nordic investment, fundraising, and ecosystem development initiatives.
